Pier Andrea AMEDEO is of Italian and Luxembourgish descent. Drawn to the private sector, he left the High Mountain Military School (Aosta, with the rank of Captain in the Alpine Chasseurs) and joined SKF, where he headed the Planning and Material Flow department for all 10 plants. Recruited by Ferrero as the company began its expansion outside Europe, he brought his expertise to Quito (Ecuador), Caguas (Puerto Rico), Cork (Ireland), and Villers-Ecalles (Normandy). An opportunity led him to Foetz (Luxembourg). There, he built World Rubber. The Group also entrusted him with the management of Mondo Canada (Montreal) and Mondo America (Chicago). He gained experience in Central and North America as well as the islands. Family reasons brought him back to Luxembourg in 1997. The Ministry of the Economy appointed him Economic Advisor. Through his firm, E&D Consultants Sà rl, he brought in investors for whom he founded and managed several industrial and commercial companies. As one of the first mentors—motivating, always attentive, and approachable—he instilled boundless enthusiasm in those he mentored.
